American youth adore their sports stars. They have already a lot of such idols from the days of the baseball players Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe Jackson till the stars of nowadays: the football player Peyton Manning and the baseball player Derek Jeter. Youth observe and repeat their every move.
Is it safe to idolize sports stars of today? It can be risky. Today sports heroes get millions of dollars due to intake of steroids. However the NFL and the MLB fight against usage of controlled substances, the war seems to be unsuccessful. Steroid use like cancer destroys sports. However American youth are taught about dangerous negative reactions of these products, the results are not good.
It is said that youth are suppressed to use steroids. They try to meet the needed criteria of college admission; they adore current professional athletes. The all these factors induce taking steroids.
Of course, all parents desire their children to succeed. If children go info sports, their parents want them to compete successfully and to continue to play professionally. Children realize that it is not easy to do it. Which are the consequences? The pressure impacts greatly on American youth. Over 10 % of teenagers feel that they need to lie in order to be successful. College admission levels have dropped due to budget cuts. The Recovery Place claims that it can cause the situation, when high school students will look for other ways to be able to stand out among crowds. Abuse of steroids may seem for teenagers to be the best alternative way.
American youth know that a lot of professional athletes have succeeded differently. Some of them did it due to their talents and hard workouts; others administrated steroids and other related preparations. If American youth act like those who dope, which will be the consequences?
Prolonged intake of steroids may lead to addiction to these products. Moreover, steroid users can experience such adverse consequences, as liver diseases, cancer, hypertension, icterus, kidney dysfunctions and bad cholesterol. These side reactions are considered to be dangerous; they may threaten to life.
Of course, parents don’t want to see their children ill. They want their children to achieve goals due to devotion to sports and hard workouts. But it is difficult to do it because many others lie, using steroids. Now it is time to do everything to push out steroids. These medications shouldn’t disturb to reach our goals.

Baseball players alone are condemned for the steroid era
There is a theme that promotes heated debates. Especially baseball fans are excited, in case they hear about steroids and their impact on this sport. Thus, if you want to cause hot discussions, you just have to note that certain baseball stars win due to steroid use.
Various individuals have different points of view, when it comes to the discussions about steroids. Sometimes it is difficult to understand why several persons who are involved in baseball take steroids. Do they play baseball only for money? Are they so blinded by money and praise that they do everything for these perspectives? Undoubtedly, the most respected baseball players are those that stay far from steroid use and win due to natural talents. Those deserve respect, honor and awards that are not lured to dope for achievement of their goals.
It is believed that users of steroids shouldn’t be elected for the Hall of Fame. It represents attempt to escape from shame related to the steroid era. You may see efforts to leave all negative aspects in past and to move further. But do these efforts to blame consumers of steroids mean that the steroid era is over? In fact, a wrong perception is created here. The steroid era is not over. Those that think that blaming steroid users mean that baseball is drug-free are mistaken.
Everyone knows that numerous baseball players have administrated anabolic steroids and other related medications. Moreover, no one doubts that today there are such players of baseball who continue to administrate banned products. Many people discuss whether a player with average skills may transform in a great player due to usage of banned medications. Some people confirm that without proper talents steroids do not profit. Talents must present. Others don’t agree with this statement. They confirm that steroids can increase performance whatever talent a person has.
But the problem is that we condemn players that dope alone. But not only sportspeople should be condemned for the steroid era. Everybody knows what happens really during the steroid era.
It is unlikely that the steroid era is behind us. Baseball hasn’t yet past the dark clouds. Steroid use is still deeply in the heart of baseball. Decisive efforts should present to be convinced that doping doesn’t influence on baseball longer.

Financial position of the Dominican Republic promotes steroid use
The Major League Baseball put efforts to prevent usage of steroids. It desires to nip doping in the bud. Then it will be able to reach the big show. One of the locations where the efforts of the MLB are applied and clearly seen is the Dominican Republic.
Those who live in the Dominican Republic want to play professional baseball in the U. S. This is not only a dream. This desire becomes real. So, the whole family drives. Unluckily, numerous individuals are lured to take steroids and other related medicines to achieve their goal.
The Dominican Republic is a country in which numerous individuals use steroids and other products that promote performance. That’s why a sportsperson from this location is asked whether he has taken steroids or other related products. Undoubtedly, this individual confirms that he has never doped because tests are performed and everybody is afraid to be caught using any controlled substance.
The MLB subjects to tests sportspersons from the Dominican Republic. So, one year 13 persons out of 40 tested amateur athletes from this location tested positive. The MLB intends to tests Dominicans and to penalize those who dope.
It is proclaimed that the number of Dominicans that are sent to the MLB is significantly higher than the number of players that are sent from all countries of the Latin America.
The MLB puts significant efforts to push steroids out of baseball. Amateur players are taught about risks for their health related to steroids. They are educated about negative effects which may be provoked by steroids.
The financial position of the Dominican Republic is a significant problem in this situation. The average wage is about 8, 5000 dollars per year there. To receive a signing bonus of 180, 000 dollars is a true achievement for any athlete from this Republic. That’s why sportspeople from this location are especially lured to dope for such perspectives. They want to get a contract for playing professional baseball in the MLB. They desire to get it for well-being of their families and for improvement quality of life in future. Getting a contract means moving from a rented small house to a private home, from poverty to normal conditions of life, from travelling by public transport to driving own car.
Actually, intake of steroids is not a problem just in that is limited within the Dominican Republic. It is a problem that destroys the whole world. No one sportsperson can be sure whether he competes against a person that has natural skills and talents or against an individual that takes steroids and other related preparations. That’s why it is necessary to nip administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in the bud.
Youth should be taught about risks related to doping not only in the Dominican Republic or just in the U. S. but around the world.

Our hope related to baseball in future
The Major League Baseball survived several baffling periods of time. It experienced 2 situations which are claimed to be 2 world wars for baseball: the 1919 Black Sox scandal and the betting of Pete Rose on baseball. Now the MLB experiences steroid era. It is widely believed that it will have capability to survive this period too. There was a case that had an essential impact on baseball as well. It was the case related to Barry Bonds.
Undoubtedly, Barry Bonds was not the only baseball player that doped. Moreover, he is not the last of them. Numerous baseball players have used prohibited preparations to promote performance. Numerous players of baseball have obtained awards and millions of dollars due to administration of prohibited medicines.
The sums of money which can be gotten justify the risks linked with usage of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. The baseball players that use forbidden medicines do not worry so scrupulously about their reputation, as they trouble about obtaining of money. Such individuals are responsible for the influence which is spread upon fans that try to be similar to them and upon future generation that will have hot debates about the steroid era in baseball.
Nobody may doubt that any baseball player that administrates steroids destroys his honor. It is made only because of money. Such individual trades own reputation just for obtaining money.
Nonetheless, it is believed that future of baseball is without steroid use. Many baseball players possess talents and appropriate skills; they train hardly and devote themselves completely to this sport. They are honest individuals. They keep their image. Such players love baseball truthfully. They do not worry only about money. Such baseball players are motivated by actual love to baseball.
Generally, the MLB ignores steroids. But unfortunately, there are individuals in each sport that take unfair advantage due to steroid use.
Our hope is light: we think that the day comes, when we’ll observe sportspersons who compete not because of usage of steroids and other related drugs but due to natural talents, skills and intensive workouts.

An athlete that takes steroids is a cheater
The topic linked with steroids appears everywhere. It is widely debated by many people. Every day a lot of articles report about these medicines. You come across news that report about persons who use steroids. You read about those who are caught distributing steroids and sentenced to probation or jail. However steroids are recommended for many patients to cure them from certain illnesses, administration of these products for enhancement of performance is more widely spread. It seems that it destroy the whole world.
Many persons are controlled by money. If they may earn money due to sales or intake of anabolic steroids, they do it. They are not stopped by the steroid laws. They take and distribute these drugs, in spite of the fact that they are claimed to be illicit in certain countries. Numerous people violate steroid laws because they can obtain money, selling and/or administrating steroids.
Undoubtedly, you have read some articles about wrestlers that have administrated forbidden medications for many years. Some of users died of sudden attacks, being young. But nobody wants to realize that fatal situations happen because steroids. A lot of persons deny links between severe diseases and steroid use.
The Major League Baseball desires to escape from steroid era. We believe that the time comes, when baseball will be played without steroids and winners will be decided due to natural talent and skills of players but not due to medications that have performance-enhancing effects.
It is not possible to be sure that you realize how wide spread intake of controlled substances is in professional and non-professional sports. Intake of steroids by competitive sportspeople is cheating. If sportspersons take medicines which increase performance, they lie. They take unfair advantage during competitions.
Any user of steroids that goes info sports should determine whether he/she has talent to be involved in sports. If he/she is not able to compete, he/she must have another job. Each person must do the job he/she really can do. So, if you can’t play football, you must choose another job.
There is a hope that administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs will be stopped in sports. It may be that it will be soon in the future. Who knows?

Steroid laws usually don’t prosecute athletes that take steroids
The laws that ban administration of anabolic steroids have appeared due to certain conditions. They turned out to be responses to widespread usage of steroids in competitive sports. Anti-Doping Agencies believed that ban of steroids would keep professional athletes far from usage of illegal products. But criminalization of steroids influenced on administration of steroids by competitive sportspeople slightly.
The steroid laws usually do not prosecute sportspeople who administrate illegal medicines. On the contrary, non-competitive sportspeople and recreational bodybuilders are usually targets of the steroid laws. They suffer due to consequences of violation of these laws.
This is not just one’s opinion. Real facts display it. Let realize: who is sentenced to prison because of distributing steroids? For example, Ashley Dewayne Rivers of Alabama received 5 months in jail because he had sold about $2000 worth of steroids to a doctor. Actually, this person was not the target of a steroid investigation. He just turned out to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The estranged wife of this doctor said to federal investigators that her husband was implicated in operations of black steroid market. Thus, the statement of this woman caused the situation, when the health care provider was investigated.
In fact, Rivers was a distributor of steroids for short period of time. This man supplied his friends of his gym with these medicines. James Robinson, the defense attorney for Ashley Rivers, noticed that his client had recognized his guilty wholly and taken the whole responsibility for his illegal actions. The attorney claimed that Rivers was a good person. Although he broke the steroid laws, he realized the risks and acknowledged his guilty.
James Robinson asked the judge to sentence his client only to probation. Ashley Rivers cared about his physically impaired wife, 2 adopted children and 3 children of his disabled brother. Furthermore, this man sacrificed about 40, 000 dollars for people that lost their homes because of tornadoes. It would be better, if he were sentenced to probation. Rivers Ashley would continue his work for his family and other people.
But Christopher Brinson, the Assistant U. S. Attorney, refused the request of the defense attorney for River. He stated that this person committed a serious crime and he should serve time in prison. Although the judge was inclined to agree with the request of the defense attorney James Robinson at the beginning, finally he made the decision to agree with the Assistant U.S. Attorney and sentenced Rivers to 5-month imprisonment.
You can realize that steroid laws have just a slight influence on professional sportspeople.

This person has not played professional baseball since 2001 after he had played for the Chicago White Sox. He was probably blackballed by baseball due to his comments linked with steroids and described in the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big”. He has called himself the “godfather” of steroids in baseball and took credit for introducing these medications in baseball. The author of the book mentioned also names of other baseball players that used steroids. Such persons, as Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Giambi were identified by Jose Canseco.
In spite of the fact that anabolic steroids can be purchased without any prescription at Mexican pharmacies, they are prohibited in MLB.
According to several reports, Jose Canseco will be tested for banned preparations by the Quintana Roo Tigers.
The former baseball player claims that he has stopped taking steroids several years ago. According to several sources, since discontinuing administrating steroids it had been recommended testosterone replacement therapy for him to cure certain troubles linked with low testosterone level.
Jose Canseco noted that he had had several adverse symptoms due to administration of steroids. So, his physician had to recommend him a testosterone gel to relieve from low libido and depression.
While he put efforts to restore his natural production of testosterone, he got some problems with laws. This former baseball player was detained for about 9 hours by the San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he had been caught possessing a vial of HCG at the international border. His house was raided by law enforcement officials but no any steroids were discovered.
Although Jose Canseco will never escape from his steroid past, he put efforts to continue playing baseball professionally.

If a fighter uses steroids, it may be dangerous for life of those who fight against him/her
Some mixed martial artists have publicly acknowledged that they take anabolic steroids as a part of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) that has been recommended by health care providers. Keith Kizer, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), claims that this aspect has created a perception among major people that steroid exemptions are given to allow MMA fighters to take the steroid testosterone.
During an interview with Ben Fowlkes of MMA Fighting Kizer said that certain individuals believed that any fighter could get exemptions for usage of testosterone. He noted that he couldn’t say it about other states but he described the situation in Nevada. According to Keith Kizer, it is 50/50 whether a request for steroid exemption will be approved.
TRT is a treatment which is required for adult males who have hypogonadism (reduced testosterone levels). If athletes correspond to the medical criteria, they may be allowed to use steroids.
The NSAC has strict requirements for those that try to get a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for intake of steroids. An athlete must show the document which manifests that blood levels of testosterone are low. But if a fighter has low testosterone level, it is not enough to obtain a TUE. Treating doctors should name reasons and medical conditions. The details linked with testosterone replacement therapy should be described by health care providers as well. Every detail must manifest that certain sportsperson has to administrate testosterone for therapeutic purposes and intake of steroids will not give unfair advantage to the fighter.
Several top athletes of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have administrated steroids for TRT. Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt, Dennis Hallman and Dan Henderson are included in the group of stars who administrate steroids for therapeutic needs.
The executive director of the NSAC claims that ban of steroids makes MMA safer. He adds that if a fighter uses steroids, he/she takes unfair advantage as if it is used knuckles that are hidden inside gloves. So, this is not just cheating. This situation is related to dangers for life. If you say to a fighter that you can put knuckles in the gloves so, as no one will know it, this athlete will say you not to bother him. But it is strangely that such person uses steroids.
It goes without saying that administration of steroids has potential dangers to enhance the harm that may be caused in MMA.

Some parents inject their little children with steroids
James Gahan injected Corey Gahan, his teenage son of 13 years old, with anabolic steroids. The father wanted him to become an Olympic athlete.
Corey Gahan is an inline skating champion at the national level. Corey Gahan won the 2004 Inline Speed Skating Nationals. He also obtained the 2nd place at the 2005 National Indoor Speed Skating Championship.
Corey’s father pleaded guilty in possessing and injecting steroids to his small son. This person collaborated with a coach from Florida to supply his son with following medicines: testosterone, Deca Durabolin, HGH and HCG. James Gahan was arrested in May, 2004. As a result of his illegal actions, he received 6-year imprisonment.
Since James Gahan had already served his time in a prison, he was released. This person started to confirm that his attitude to steroids and other forbidden medicines had been changed totally. He talked to high school athletes about risks linked with usage of steroids. It was a part of his community service to which this person had been ordered by the court.
This individual noted nothing about influence of steroids on the life and health of his 13-year old son. He noticed only about own experiences with these medications. This person noticed that if someone desired to see adverse consequences of anabolic steroids, he might display them because he took these medications. This person noticed that he used 45 tablets per day and his insides had eroded.
Actually, James didn’t explain what he meant, saying that his insides had eroded due to steroids. He said nothing about his illness which required 45 tablets per day!
James said about his son that he had known everything they had done. But he added that since he was the father, he took the total responsibility upon himself. But James Gahan concluded that it would be better for his son to admit that he had lied.
But Corey doesn’t desire to talk to his father who has given him steroids. Earlier he has said that his father has never been sorry for giving steroids to him; he has been sorry because he has been caught doing it.

A naturopathic doctor recommended to Colin Daynes using steroids
A Greco-Roman wrestler, Colin Daynes, desired to represent Canada at the 2012 London Olympics. Unluckily, his dreams will not be real. Administration of prohibited preparations became a reason for it. Colin Daynes was caught taking steroids, diuretics and a selective estrogen receptor modulator.
Earlier this wrestler won the 74 kg division at the Canadian Wrestling Qualification Trials.
The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports proclaimed that Colin Daynes had tested positive for such banned medicines, as boldenone, drostanolone, furosemide and tamoxifen. Boldenone and drostanolone belong to anabolic steroids that are better known under their trade names: Equipose and Masteron. As for Tamoxifen, it is known as Nolvadex. This medicine is usually used together with some others to reduce water retention. Furosemide or Lasix belongs to the class of diuretics. Wrestlers take this drug as well as other diuretics to lose body weight to correspond to requirements of certain weight categories.
Colin Daynes admitted that he had taken anabolic steroids and other prohibited drugs intentionally. He noted that he had taken these drugs to get recovery from a partially-torn bicep and an elbow injury. But Colin Daynes added that he hadn’t known that these drugs were prohibited by the WADA. This wrestler blamed his physician for this factor. He said that he had consulted a naturopathic physician who advised him taking these medicines. The wrestler noticed that if he had known that the medications were banned, he would not have competed.
Colin Daynes represented Canada at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. After he won the national trials in 2008 he intended to compete at the Beijing Olympics. But he didn’t take part in this Olympics because he couldn’t qualify at the international level. Recently this wrestler won the Canadian Wrestling Qualifying Trials in December, 2011, and had to secure his allowance for the 2012 London Olympics through the competition at the Pan American Wrestling Championship.
But due to administration of banned medicines Colin Daynes has been sentenced to 2-year ban. It means that he is not allowed to compete till December 2012, when his athletic career ends as well.
Colin Daynes confirmed that he had represented the native country proudly. He concluded that people might judge him, if they wanted to do it after his 25-year successful career and everything he had done.

The accusations against Lance Armstrong threatened to his Foundation of cancer research and support
The doping case against Lance Armstrong is announced to be closed. This person remains to be considered a champion that won at the Tour de France 7 times.
It is known that federal prosecutors put efforts to determine whether this racing cyclist and his teammates have taken part in a doping program. The length of the investigation has been about 2 years.
Lance Armstrong denied that he has used controlled substances. The accusations against this cyclist threatened to his athletic career as well as to his Foundation of cancer research and support. The efforts to prove that this person used steroids were in vain.
Lance Armstrong noticed that he had heard that the US Attorney’s Office decided to close the case. He noted that it was a right decision. Armstrong claimed that he was waiting to continue his usual life, being a father, a competitor and an advocate in the fight against cancer.
Andre Birote, an attorney announced during a press conference that the US Attorney’s Office closed the investigation linked with the case of Lance Armstrong. This person didn’t note about any reason of this decision. But he just said that come previous similar cases were also closed.
For example, the case linked with Barry Bonds was claimed to be unsuccessful. Prosecutors couldn’t prove that this sportsperson had lied about usage of steroids. As for the case linked with Roger Clemens, the trial was indicated for another time because the judge proclaimed about previous mistrial.
Investigators thought that a doping program was established by Armstrong’s team. They tried to define whether it was so as they thought. Authorities investigated whether Lance Armstrong encouraged or induced doping.
Actually, prosecutors tried to determine whether Armstrong and his team violated federal conspiracy and fraud charges. While Barry Bonds testified before a federal grand jury and Clemens testified before Congress, Armstrong wasn’t required to testify before a grand jury. Barry Bonds and Clemens were accused in lying under oath.
Frank, a former teammate of Lance Armstrong, and her wife Betsy Andreu charged Armstrong with administration of forbidden preparations. They noticed that they were shocked by the decision to close the investigation. They concluded that such cases happened due to money and corruption.

Steroids are not so harmful, as it is believed
The professor of Wisconsin’s University Norm Fost claims about some common misconceptions connected with anabolic steroids. Although some experts notice about severe and even life-threatening adverse consequences of anabolic steroids, Dr. Fost denies these statements, confirming that they don’t have any scientific basis.
But statements of this doctor are not so often quoted by media as statements about severe undesirable reactions of steroids. Thus, the message of Norm Fost that steroids aren’t so dangerous, as it is believed, is noted once for every 500-time conclusion that steroids represent a real evil.
Moreover, editors usually mislead readers, writing the quotes of this physician incorrectly. For example, a headline of a radio talk sounds following: “UW-Madison doctor: steroids aren’t harmful at all”. The headline is wrong. It is misleading. Norm Fost has never clamed that steroids were not harmful at all. It is well-known that these drugs can lead to various side reactions. Norm fost doesn’t deny probability of appearing side effects. In fact, this expert says some other things. This doctor notes that possible risks of steroids are significantly exaggerated. This doctor denies the statement that steroids cause the rare type of brain cancer. According to several sources, this caused the death of Lyle Alzado, a player of the NFL. Norm Fost notices that there is no any link between the death of this player and steroids.
Alzado blamed his prolonged steroid abuse for the primary brain lymphoma that finally led to his death. Assertion of this player was the only evidence that indicated about the connection between his intake of steroids and the brain cancer.
But a question appears here. Why did Lyle Alzado make public his steroid use, demonizing anabolic steroids for his illness? Couldn’t you find this fact strange?
Actually, it was said that AIDS had suppressed his immune system and promoted destroying his body by the primary brain lymphoma.
A pathologist said that Alzado had had T-cell lymphoma which was linked with AIDS. According to Dr. Thomas DeLoughery, Alzado was afraid that the public would proclaim that he died from AIDS because of the cancer.
Pathologists at OHSU reported that Lyle Alzado had had B-cell lymphoma that was not connected with HIV or AIDS.
The doctor DeLoughery explained the situation. He noticed that T-cells of this person were inflamed but the malignant cells were B-cells.
While experts disputed about AIDS and the type of cancer which Alzado had, nobody of them claimed about connection between his brain lymphoma and intake of steroids.

Anna Watson could become a model of Elite
Anna Watson, an university cheerleader of Georgia, noted that she was pressured to administrate steroids to get a fitness modeling contract. Her modeling agent recommended her to take Anavar to get needed 50 pounds of muscles. This lady was tempted but finally she rejected this recommendation. She confirmed that her body was “a temple” and she wouldn’t affect it.
This lady claimed that she had been tempted by intake of steroids many times. The agent tried to present steroids as something good.
It was told her that she would obtain a $75,000 per year fitness modeling contract, if she take steroids and get 50 pounds of muscles. This lady said that she talked to Elite Model Management representatives in Paris. Elite is one of the most prestigious modeling networks. Such super-models, as Adriana Lima, Cindy Crawfors and Gisele Bundchen belong to Elite.
But Anna Watson has chosen to be better a cheerleader at the University than to be involved in the glamorous world. Moreover, this lady rejected usage of steroids because this factor wasn’t in harmony with her religious principles. Anna Watson noticed that she didn’t serve a modeling agent but the Lord. This lady added that she had been created as a nice creation. Anna Watson concluded that she wouldn’t break her moral and religious principles only to take photos. Anna Watson decided not to affect her health.
Some questions appear, reading these affirmations. Somebody could ask whether Elite Model Management looks for models that have the same appearance like competitive female bodybuilders. Or may be Anna Watson just want to draw people’s attention by taking advantage of bad attitude to steroids?
It is obvious that if Anna Watson acquires 50 pounds of muscles, she will be able to compete on national bodybuilding stage. But what is for contract of 75, 000 dollars per year? Sportspersons know that such sums of money are not got easily even in sports. But may such large sum of money be got from modeling agency? It is controversial.
Females that are involved in bodybuilding compete greatly to obtain prize money. Women with muscular bodies are more likely to obtain money from “schmoes” (males who have sexual fetish for muscular females) than from the most prestigious modeling agencies.

The supplement which was used by King Mo Lawal contained steroid ingredients
King Mo Lawal admitted that he had taken a dietary supplement which was tainted. As it turned out to be, that supplement contained 2 ingredients which were synthetic steroids. According to this person and his manager, administration of this product caused positive for Masteron.
This fighter noticed during an interview for MMA Hour that he had got “S-Mass Lean Gainer” in a Max Muscle store in April, 2010. This supplement was produced by Steel Body Production.
But this is not the case, when steroid ingredients are not written. Synonyms of prohibited medicines are listed on the label of S-Mass Lean Gainer. Actually, these steroids were the subjects of several debates between anti-doping agencies and federal regulators since 2005. They are following: 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol and 4-Chloro-17a-Methyl-a-andro4-ene3, 17b-diol. These products are better known under the names: Superdrol and Promagnon.
As for Superdrol, it goes by methyldrostanolone, methasteron and 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol. Thus, methylated version of Masteron was defined in the urine sample of King Mo Lawal by a proper lab of the anti-doping agency.
The pharmaceutical company Anabolic Resources was the first which manufactured Superdrol as a dietary supplement. It was over 5 years ago. This company was accused in introducing of a new unapproved medicine. Later this pharmaceutical company pleaded guilty and acknowledged that they had marketed a synthetic steroid as a dietary supplement. As a result, this pharmaceutical company had to pay a fine of 500, 000 dollars.
As for Promagnon, it also initially appeared as a dietary supplement in 2005 by Peak Performance’ Labs. The government didn’t take any action against the company for manufacturing and selling this steroid. But Peak Performance decided to discontinue manufacturing this supplement in 2006.
However legal status of these two steroids is controversial, many companies have manufactured and distributed them as dietary supplements during about 6 years. It goes without saying that persons who are involved in this industry know about the status of these steroids but they continue to offer them for sales.
The manager for Lawal says that the full responsibilities should be taken by the companies which market synthetic steroids as dietary supplements. This person believes that such companies misguide people intentionally.

The baseball player Ryan Braun accepted his MVP awards
Although Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers faces a suspension for intake of anabolic steroids, he accepted his Most Valuable Player Award at the dinner of Baseball Writers Association. This athlete didn’t admit to administration of forbidden products. He said that he had become a victim of a false positive. Ryan Braun fights against the results that have been announced.
Altough it has been recently discussed whether consumers of steroids may be voted for Baseball’s Hall of Fame, they do not forfeit their Most Valuable Player awards. Even admitted consumers of steroids keep their MVP awards.
Jack O’Connell proclaimed that Ryan Braun would be permitted to receive the MVP awards. Earlier other steroid users were permitted also to keep their MVP awards. For example, Ken Caminity kept his 1996 MVP award; Alex Rodriquez kept his 2003 MVP award. Both these athletes admitted that they had administrated steroids.
According to testosterone: epitestosterone (T: E) ratio, Ryan Braun had elevated level of testosterone in October 2011. The T: E ratio has manifested about exogenous type of testosterone. Actually, this test can’t show real quantity of used testosterone.
Another method of testing was applied by the World Anti-Doping Agency accredited lab in Montreal to confirm the analysis of the T: E ratio testing. It was applied carbon isotope ratio testing that indicated about existence of exogenous testosterone.
Numerous sportswriters suggested that Ryan Braun should have forfeited his MVP awards because of the positives for banned medicines. But this person made another decision. Ryan Braun decided to accept the awards and address with the speech about false charges with administration of steroids. This American baseball player noticed that characters of individuals are revealed in such situations of adversary. This baseball player confirmed that he had a great respect to baseball. He concluded that he made a lot for his career in this sport but he had done everything with great respect and appreciation to baseball.
It was said that Ryan Braun had been one of the youngest players of the Major League Baseball who didn’t need to take steroids to be able to play. When this person found out about positive of Alex Rodriquez for steroids, he was too surprised. He said that Alex Rodriquez should have been enough honest to say about usage of prohibited medications.
Ryan Braun decided to fight against the results of his tests, claiming that unusual circumstances surrounded this situation. The baseball player announced that he would display his innocence and false positives.

Each cyclist dopes
Administration of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs is widespread among amateur as well as professional sportspeople. It isn’t surprisingly, when sportspersons test positive for controlled preparations. But there are some unusual situations, when a person tests positive for numerous forbidden preparations. Here is an example.
The teenage amateur French cyclist Alexandre Dougnier tested positive for over 10 prohibited substances, including more than 5 steroid metabolites. It was at a race in France in May, 2011. This person has received 3-year ban from competitions.
It was defined that Alexandre Dougnier had administrated such steroids, as Anavar, Dianabol and Winstrol. Other steroid metabolites which were found in his urine sample were following; 3-Hydroxystanozolol, 16b-Hydroxystanozolol, 4b-Hydroxystanozolol, Oxandrolone, epi-Oxandrolone, 6b-Hydroxymethandienone and 17-epi-Methandienone.
Alexandre Dougnier was a member of the Parisian Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt. Certain persons mention that this young cyclist might have been a follower of the club’s doper Jacques Anquetil. This person has been claimed to be a well-known individual of cycling’s history. He was a member of the club de Boulogne-Billancourt in 1950s and 1960s. He was the first cyclist who had won the Tour de France 5 times. This cyclist had received also 2 Olympic medals.
Jacques Anquetil administrated steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Moreover, this cyclist defended doping during a TV debate with the French sports minister. He noted that it was not possible to endure cold, heat waves and rain in mountains during cycling without doping. He mentioned that only a fool individual would endure this agony linked with the extreme sport of cycling without doping. This famous cyclist added that drug testing might deprive individual liberty. Jacques Anquetil concluded that everybody doped.
It is important to notice steroids were not so widespread among cyclists in 1950s and 1960s. Intake of more dangerous amphetamines was more widespread during those years. As for intake of anabolic steroids, it has become more widespread during past two decades.
Let observe which affirmations have been said about steroids, when other cyclists have been caught taking them. When the cyclist Floyd Landis was caught using testosterone, it was argued by his legal team that neither anabolic steroids, nor other performance-enhancing drugs were capable to increase performance in cyclists. As for the distributor of steroids Joseph Papp, he didn’t agree with this affirmation. He mentioned that intake of steroids was widespread in elite cycling. According to his words, a person can use testosterone gels in a clever way without being caught by anti-doping programs: users of transdermal testosterone should take in consideration time of detection.
Alexandre Dougnier was not cautious and didn’t attempt to avoid detection. He probably didn’t suppose that cyclists would be tested for banned medications at the race in Aubervilliers.

King Mo Lawal tested positive for Masteron
Quinton Rampage Jackson and King Mo Lawal don’t like each other. They didn’t display their dislike to each other for certain years. During an interview Lawal noticed about their relationships, noticing that he doesn’t have good opinion about Rampage Jackson who also doesn’t like him.
That’s why it isn’t surprisingly at all that Rampage Jackson commented on the fact related to Lawal’s positive for drostanolone (Masterone).
Jackson said that it was quite evident that Lawal had administrated steroids. He said that King Mo was not a true fighter. He used steroids to have ability to compete.
Rampage Jackson said that there were fighters that were allowed to administrate steroids. He referred to those who had to use steroids for testosterone replacement therapy. This person noted that it was a significant difference between purposes. Fighters and other athletes are allowed to use steroids for TRT and not for enhancement of performance, according to this fighter.
Jackson says that there are persons that have several health problems. They consult their health care providers who prescribe steroids. They administrate these medications in order to be relieved from health problems and to stay competitive. But he adds that there are fighters that administrate steroids in order to increase their performance. It is very sadly, according to this mixed martial artist.
However, administration of steroids for hormone replacement therapy by sportspeople is a quite controversial issue.
Such fighters, as Dennis Hallman, Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson acknowledged that they had administrated steroids because of hypogonadism.
Thus, Rampage is a fighter that confirmed about permission to use steroids as a part of TRT by athletes. But there are other fighters who don’t agree with this opinion. Many sportspersons have the same point of view as Michael Bisping has. They claim that intake of steroids is just justified by clinical reasons. They believe that all fighters that apply anabolic steroids, claiming that they are on TRT, are cheaters.
King Mo Lawal says that he is not guilty, claiming that his manager has heard nothing about the steroid Masterone. Both Lawal and his manager claim that they are really surprised by the results of the test.
Fans were waiting for a fight between Jackson Rampage and Lawal. There were some rumors that they would fight in February, 2012. But the dreams of fans were not justified. Lawal should serve a suspension.
