Steroids destruct nerve cells

But according to late studies, taking of steroids is a very harmful aspect for brain cells. Since these drugs enhance amount of testosterone in body, they affect and even kill brain cells. This confirmation about destruction of nerve cells by increased amount of testosterone was proven by a study leaded by Yale School of Medicine which was published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.
Scientists confirm that abnormal aggressiveness manifested by steroids consumers show that certain amount of brain cells was disturbed due to taking of steroids.
Barbara Ehrlich, a professor, a leader of a research related to administration of steroids, advices not to condemn those who utilize steroids, if they act unproperly. It is necessary to understand that it can be not their blame. Steroids must have had fault of abnormal actions of those who utilize these preparations.
The research conducted by Yale School of Medicine displayed that testosterone destructed nerve cells. One of principal functions of testosterone secreted naturally is following: to destruct brain cells which may be harmful for the whole body due to their destructions. But when level of this hormone is increased, it kills not only destructed cells but healthy ones too. It can lead to such dangerous troubles, as appearing of Alzheimer's and Huntingdon's disease and others.

Aggressiveness of hamsters due to steroids
Hamsters were enrolled in a study published in the journal Behavioral Neuroscience. The scientists participated in the study observed influence of anabolic steroids upon the hamsters. The hamsters that were given these products became too aggressive. Their brain activity was changed much due to steroids.
The researches made a conclusion that steroids affected people’s brain the same way as hamsters’ brain. According to their confirmations, people suggest that steroids are forbidden due to their athletic effects. But they have to understand that the chief reason is harmful influence of these products on human health. These preparations must be taken only for medical needs by prescriptions of prescribers. Steroids use in sports has to be forbidden totally.
